Nicholas Adzibolosu, PhD
Dr. Nicholas Adzibolosu is an early-career physician-scientist and postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Neuroimaging at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree in Ghana, followed by a Master of Science in Medical Sciences from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom, and a PhD in Physiology from Wayne State University in Michigan.
His doctoral research focused on applying molecular biology and multi-omics approaches to advance the early detection of ovarian cancer and to elucidate the immunological mechanisms underlying its recurrence[MdACCP1] .
With clinical interests in radiology and imaging sciences, Dr. Nicholas now integrates multi-omics, clinical and neuroimaging data to identify blood-based biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease (AD). His current postdoctoral work also investigates associations between lifetime physical activity and AD-related gene expression, aiming to identify transcriptomic profiles that mechanistically link physical activity to neurodegeneration.
Ultimately, Nicholas seeks to leverage his clinical training and research expertise to make meaningful contributions as a physician-scientist.
